Holy Week Project

My sister recently learned how to decorate eggs in the Eastern European fashion. Tonight she will impart the coveted knowledge to the rest of our family and we plan to devote several nights to extravagant artistry.

Wow, they're very pretty. All of the sudden Paas doesn't look so enticing.

No kidding. It turned out to be rather tricky, but great fun nonetheless. The dyes are incredibly potent - even our less successful attempts turned out rather nice. If we ever get around to uploading Easter pictures, maybe I'll post some of our handiwork.

Steve,

Jamie is welcome to make a visit and join in the fun. (: Apparently, the dyes are good for about a year and we have plenty of wax left for drawing the patterns. So we intend to observe the liturgical calendar very religiously, and keep the party (and egg-decorating) going for all of Paschaltide!
